Hitting the stage to perform their latest single, Angel, fans were surprised to see a ‘fifth’ person stand between Lauren Jauregui and Normani Kordei. It definitely wasn’t Dinah Jane Hanson or Ally Brooke.
After the beat dropped it then turned out to be a massive stunt, with the ‘silhouette’ being kicked off the stage in a dramatic stunt, symbolising Camila’s departure from the band.
On Friday, Fifth Harmony just released their third album without Camila, ahead of her debut solo album, The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving, with will drop in September.
Fifth Harmony scooped the award for best pop video for Down with Gucci Mane.
Before the show, Ally posted a sweet message which she originally posted back in 2012 about the MTV awards show.
‘On September 6, 2012, I tweeted this….today, August 27, 2017 I will be taking the VMA stage with my girls….can’t describe my emotion.
