Businesses evacuated, 3 schools on lockdown as police deal with man on bus with a gun



LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV)

North Nellis Boulevard between Bonanza and Washington is shut down Tuesday afternoon as police work to apprehend a man who had been waving a firearm outside a restaurant and then boarded a bus.

The call came in just before 12:30 p.m., according to Officer Aden Ocampo-Gomez of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Police are describing the event as a "shots fired" situation.

The suspect acted intoxicated but was quiet in the restaurant before exiting.
Businesses near the scene are being evacuated.
Robison Middle School, Stanford Elementary School, and Eldorado High School are on hard lockdown, according to CCSD Police Capt. Ken Young. It is not known how this will impact school dismissals.
